I. HAUNT is a family. We protect the family first.
II. HAUNT is a pvp guild. If you don’t like pvp, there are other good guilds to join in any game.
III. We use team coms for official events. If you aren’t willing to use them, there are other good guilds to join in any game.
IV. Having started as a rather large guild, HAUNT prefers to operate in smaller groups now. Though older members can always come back and hang, by charter, we never have more than 40 active members at one time. When we are fully active in a game, our typical fighting force is 1 to 3 squads. It has been like that since City of Heroes / City of Villains around 2006.
V. HAUNT members can join other guilds in games we aren’t officially tagged for, or in games that allow multiple tags. For example, we all did so in Guild Wars 2, as you could be members with up to 5 guilds in that system.
VI. HAUNT doesn’t cheat or exploit in games. If that’s a problem for you, there are other guilds for you to join.
VII. We have a history of sportsmanship and cooperation with other guilds. As pvpers, we all talk smack from time to time, but let’s not burn bridges permanently. Today’s adversary might be tomorrow’s ally.
VIII. HAUNT’s website and team coms will not be used by any members to commit any crimes. If it is questionable, or you actually know you are sailing the high seas, do not post it here.
IX. Actual Sexual Harassment and Actual Racism will not be tolerated, period. The actual yardstick on that are standards that have not changed, since we started in 2003. We have several people that served protecting the first amendment, so we don’t care what the new authoritarian, ever mutating opinions are on Facebook, Twitter, or any other platform this week.
X. Fake issues, made up drama, cancel culture crap, and other proof that you might actually need real world therapy for antisocial behavior, rather than a microphone, will not be tolerated either.
XI. If there is a dispute with a HAUNT member, attempt reason and keep calm. If it cannot be resolved, contact the appropriate officer who is online.
XII. Be prepared to have fun. You can make friends for life here. That’s been true for more than a decade.
