Notes: A former trail lawyer, the mayor is extremely experienced with making arguments or getting in front of a microphone to give a speech.  She not only enjoys it, she literally thrives on misleading the people she is supposed to serve.

She has a good reputation and a large amount of public sympathy, as a widower who lost her husband to cancer two years before getting elected.  Many of the women she represents enjoy imagining her as a role model for single moms out there, as she raises her 16 year old daughter alone.

Her real character is different.    Beyond the public mask and the PR, regardless of what party she is a part of, Mayor Karen Smith will do anything to acquire money and power.   She has no central ethics or faith.

Mia Washington is a fifth generation Police Officer.  During those many decades, half of her family has died in the line of duty.  Many times they died by criminals.  Sometimes they died at the hands of dirty cops that unsuccessfully tried to corrupt them.

They lived on in the stories of her father, who died rescuing a girl from her drug addled father, with that girl's mother and two sisters having been executed by said father.  Mia's father's story lives on in the tales of her mother and the pictures of the family's honored dead that line the walls of their homes.

For Mia, the untarnished execution of the job is a matter of family pride.  It is a matter of community.   It is an expression of faith in the very face of real evil.

She has begun to suspect the Mayor gave her this position as a political point, without really knowing who she was hiring.  There are signs that the Mayor might be up to some shady business, but Mia's attention is locked on the serial killer that is stalking young ladies in her town.

Before she can look into anything else, she has to stop the rape, the torture and the slaughter before more innocents are lost.   It is what the members of her family were born to do.

David Wu is an Independent Journalist who works nationally thanks to his donations and reporting on platforms like Youtube and Rumble.  Regularly able to hit more eyeballs with his reporting than even top rated reporters for mainstream networks, his influence has only been growing in the past year. 

Most wouldn't know he is a multimillionaire's trust fund kid.   This is a passion project for him rather than a livelihood.  Thus, he can maintain complete independence even without donors or income.   Attempts by Big Tech to control his messaging or cut off his ability to reach his audience have failed multiple times, as he has crossed multiple platforms and has his own websites spread internationally as rather expensive back ups.

He may have ties to many independent internet groups.  Some platforms that attempted to unfairly block his content have gone down internationally for days, at high cost to the overlords of Silicon Valley.
